A precision two-piece stropping tool for cartridge razors, with a replaceable recycled-denim strip. Drag to rotate and inspect it from every angle.
A replaceable 200 × 48 mm strip of reclaimed heavy denim drapes over the stropping bridge — the classic razor maintenance medium, held drum-tight by the base.
The scalloped bridge presents the denim at a consistent working curve, so every backward stroke meets the blades at the correct angle. No technique required.
The base clips on to lock the denim in place and doubles as a stable worktop stand. Side peel-tabs release it in seconds for strip changes.
At 110 mm long and under 25 mm assembled, it posts through a standard UK letterbox. No missed deliveries, minimal packaging.
Big-brand cartridges are expensive. Extending each one's life by even a couple of weeks means the Maintainer pays for itself within months.
Engineered and manufactured in England using low-waste additive manufacturing — every part prints flat, with no wasted support material.
Hold the Maintainer flat — or pinch the grip dimples to strop in hand — and draw your razor backwards along the denim ten to fifteen times. The backward stroke realigns the fine edge of each blade without cutting the fabric: the same principle barbers have used on strops for generations.
When a strip wears out, peel a side tab, lift the bridge, and fit a fresh denim strip — cut from old jeans using the included template. Works with all common cartridge systems, and safety razors too.
